The Mirror's Reflection by ~PurpleTallest:iconPurpleTallest:

You’re stuck inside a rut
And you’re screaming for attention
Can’t you feel your feet sinking
Into your own acceptance?

You sit on a throne that’s made of your own
Where you are the ultimate
You are the infinite
You can never fall

Oh, haven’t you heard
The helplessness of a girl who’d die to be you?
While she’s stuck inside a rut
Screaming for attention
For only your acceptance

To be perfect
To be flawless
To be the reflection in your mirror

But then again, we’d all like to know:

Are you perfect?
Are you flawless?
Or is that what you tell yourself
Each night, each day
To keep the doubts away?

This came to me when I was angry with a friend of mine. I let my feelings out, tried to make it flow a little without rhyming and leaning toward Ryan Ross's [of Panic! at the Disco] technique. Let me know what you think. Honest opinions, please.

Very awesome. This is almost like a song. The rhyming is great, and I love the style. And let's not forget the message. Reminds me of Stands song, 'Please' for some reason. I think it's because the message for both your poem and the song are close to the same. Again, awesome poem!

I wake up every Black Friday eager to watch the news to see who was trampled to death this time.
